Sunday School 9:30 AM
For all ages, including adults, using the The Seasons of the Spirit curriculum which
integrates Sunday School and Worship.
Choir
For those who enjoy the fellowship of music
and singing. The choir rehearses on Sunday mornings at 9:30 AM. from September through
May. Ron Brown is the church organist, with choir director Rev.
Nancie Mooney.
Newcomers are welcome and the ability to read music is not required.
Drama
Short dramas
are occasionally prepared for worship services. Previous dramas include "The
Trials of Jess Goodnuff" and a Star Trek parody, "The Floundering
Spaceship".
Youth Ministry
A Youth Sunday school class is held at 9:30 AM (Grades 5 and up).
The Youth Fellowship meets once or twice a month for various activities.
There are opportunities for Senior High School students to be part of the ministry of the
Church by assisting Sunday School teachers, participating in worship, serving at the Food
'n Friends Kitchen, going on mission work trips, and various other activities.
Summer Camp
Our summer camps are held in Groton, Massachusetts; Oceanwood, Maine, and Exeter, Rhode
Island. These are wonderful camps and many children and youth have attended during
the summer. The church provides scholarship help for all children and youth who attend.
Mission Work Tours
Tours for our Mission work to the Dominican Republic are usually done during the
winter season. Other projects are under consideration like Habitat for Humanity work
trips.
Ecumenical Life
Opportunities to work with other Christians through the Council of Churches, e.g. Foods 'N
Friends Kitchen, retreats, Holy Week Services, and nursing home visitations.
Men's Breakfast
There are several occasional Men's Breakfast at Morin's Restaurant, Attleboro, with
speakers and discussions on topics of interest to men.
Women's Fellowship
A new American Baptist Women's Fellowship has been created. They meet bi-monthly on
the first Tuesday of October, December, February, April and June at 6:45 p.m.. Women
of all ages are welcomed.
Retirees
The Young-at-Heart retirees group meets usually on the fourth Thursday for
lunch at noon. Sometimes the group goes for a river cruise, or to an organ concert, or to
a local place of natural beauty, followed by lunch at a restaurant. Programs at church
include speakers and video presentations on a variety of topics.
